  • Prepare contract qualification schedules, deviation lists, tender clarifications, assumptions, and exceptions in coordination with Proposals and technical teams.
  • Support bid evaluations by assessing payment terms, liability regimes, securities, liquidated damages, delay exposure, insurance obligations, and key contractual deliverables.
  • Contribute to bid commercial submissions and ensure alignment between the proposed execution strategy and contractual obligations.

  1. Contract drafting, review, and negotiation

  • Administer contracts under FIDIC forms of contract, with working familiarity of NEC principles and standard project correspondence protocols.
  • Review conditions of contract, Particular Conditions, scope matrices, schedules, and annexures to ensure clarity of obligations, interfaces, exclusions, and deliverables.

  1. Post-award contract administration
  • Establish and maintain the contract administration framework, including contract summaries, obligations registers, notice trackers, risk registers, and key correspondence logs.
  • Advise project teams on contract interpretation, notice requirements, entitlement positions, and compliance with time bars, approval workflows, and documentation standards.
  • Support the administration of invoices, payment applications, payment certificates, retention, back charges, and contractual deliverables tied to billing milestones.

  1. Change management, claims, and disputes
  • Manage variation orders, change requests, compensation events, and claims records from initiation through evaluation, negotiation, and closure.
  • Assess extension of time submissions, disruption events, and prolongation claims in coordination with planning and project controls teams.
  • Prepare contractual notices, responses, position papers, and claim narratives supported by contemporaneous records and contractual entitlement.
  • Support dispute avoidance and resolution through structured negotiation, escalation records, and preparation of contractual dossiers.

  1. Risk and stakeholder coordination
  • Interface with client representatives, project managers, discipline leads, procurement teams, and finance teams on contractual and commercial matters.
