Dr. Ezeldin is the Chief Strategy Officer and a distinguished Professor of Construction Engineering at the American University in Cairo. Formerly, he served as the Chair of the Department of Construction Engineering. Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Ezeldin has authored 2 books and published over 115 refereed journal papers and conference proceedings. Dr. Ezeldin’s academic contributions are equally impressive, having advised, co-advised, and examined over 25 Ph.D. dissertations and more than 85 Master’s theses.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree (1982), a Master of Science (1986), a Master of Philosophy (1987), and a Ph.D. (1989), all in Civil Engineering. He has been a practicing civil, construction, and project management engineer since 1982. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer in the USA since 1993 and a Certified Project Manager since 2005.
Much of Dr. Ezeldin’s 35 years of design, technical, and management experiences were gained while working with consulting firms in the USA, Europe, and the Middle East on residential, commercial, infrastructures and oil and gas projects. He has served as an international expert for the World Bank, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the United Nations Development Programme.
